Jamin Kerja – Hiring Incentives in 2022
The government has introduced “JaminKerja” incentives, employers who hire apprentices, vulnerable groups and the unemployed are eligible for incentives up to RM36,000!

Vaccination for Children Under 12s

Covid-19 vaccination programme for children aged below 12 will be starting on 03.02.2022 in phase from Klang Valley. The programme will be a two-dose regime with an eight-week interval.

Interbank ATM Withdrawal Fee

An RM1 transaction fee for interbank ATM withdrawals on the MEPS system will be reimposed in February 2022.

Shorter Quarantine Period
Malaysia has cut the quarantine days for close contacts who have taken booster jabs.
  • Symptomatic or haven’t received second dose of vaccine: 10-day quarantine
  • Asymptomatic patients who received 2 doses of vaccine: 7-day quarantine
  • Close contact patients who received booster shot: 5-day quarantine
  • Close contact patients who haven’t received booster shot: 7-day quarantine
Tap On Phone – New Function from PayNet

PayNet has introduced Tap On Phone (TOP) function, allowing merchants to use any NFC-enabled smartphones to accept and process MyDebit payments, instead of relying on traditional card POS terminals. Merchants may contact nearest bank for TOP details if you are interested.

New Version of Touch ‘n Go Card with NFC Technology

Touch ‘n Go will launch a new version of cards in next few weeks. The new version of card will offer the ability of Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, allowing the users to top up their card balance easily using an NFC-enabled port via Tng eWallet application.

Ops Selamat during Chinese New Year 2022

PDRM will be deploying in-car radar and Intelligent Compound Online Payment System (iCOPS) for traffic law enforcement during the implementation of Op Selamat 17 in conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year. The Op Selamat 17 will be implementing from 28.01.2022 until 06.02.2022.
